Homeowners in Overland Park know the value of a functioning and break-free sewer system. If a break happens, there are options on how to repair that damaged pipe that may not involve having to excavate and dig up your yard, landscaping or driveway, performing the pipe repair without the mess.
Typically we will perform traditional drain cleaning to ensure the line is clear or any tree roots, blockages, or backups, then we can perform a camera inspection on the existing pipe to determine what kind of sewer problems your sewer line has.
Doing regular drain cleaning/rooter of your sewer line can help prolong the life of your plumbing system, but sometimes tree roots or other culprits have other plans and seem to be on a mission to cause sewer line issues.
That’s where an Overland Park plumbing company like A-1 comes in to help.
Trenchless sewer line repair is among the options homeowners have for when sewer line replacement is needed.
Knowing if you’re a candidate for trenchless sewer line repair starts with a sewer camera running through the sewer pipe to see where, how, and to what extent you have a damaged pipe. Part of that plumbing service is providing you with no-hassle pricing on what the sewer line repair would cost or pricing for new pipe. It’s important to note that not every situation will call for trenchless replacement services. Plumbing repair done right means providing the best option to our Kansas City area customers.
If your situation would benefit from trenchless sewer repair, A-1 offers 2 types of trenchless sewer repair; pipe bursting and pipe lining.
Pipe Bursting –
This is a process where a “bursting head” is attached to a cable that is pulled through the existing pipe. As it is pulled through the old pipe, it literally “bursts” the pipe. Attached to the rear of the bursting head is a new pipe, which is pulled along as the head bursts the old pipe and pulls the sewer pipe into place.
Trenchless Pipe Lining –
This process involves pushing an epoxy resin lining through the old pipe with air pressure. It is then cured to be hardened, giving you a new pipe with no blockages.
Our plumbing company has plumbers who are certified in trenchless sewer line repair and can offer both pipe bursting and pipe lining.
Trenchless sewer repair can have several benefits, among those being cost-effective and taking less time than traditional sewer repair.
Not having to destroy your landscaping or driveway to access the broken line can make it easier to get back to normal when having to replace a sewer line and provide some of how trenchless is cost-effective for homeowners.
Pipe lining and pipe bursting can also save time—no excavation crews, long hours of digging, replacing and backfilling dirt…it can all add up to a lot of man-hours to complete the project. Trenchless avoids many of those issues and can give you a new sewer line in less time than traditional sewer excavation.
